im going out right now to change my exhaust manifold and was wondering if i should do a, how to? what do you guys think?

Why would you change your manifold? Did it warp? s*** that job would take a LOOOOOOOOONG time, so many rusty and hard to reach bolts on our stupidly designed manifolds

it was cracked for a while but today while i was driving it brook off right before one of my cat, ill have pic of every thing soon i started it late in the day and got a couple bolts off and the heat shield out but i sould have it done ether by tomorrow or the next day

Hey Im looking to do the same thing, what did you do to replace it? About how long did it take? Did you just get the part from a junkyard or did you get a new one online? Please post some pics. Mines got a leak and Id like to take care of it as soon as I can. I know this topic is ancient, but if youre still around, please help me out

you guys ever looked at how the take the manifols off?? the drivers side seems fairly assecible with some swearing, but the passenger side??? NO WAY i can get my hands to even touch the manifold let alone find a hidden bolt

Take the stuff off above it thats in the way. I definitely think that it would be easier to pull stuff off from the top and attempt this, than doing it from the bottom.

good set of rachets with u joints and or breaker bar. impact would be ideal if you can get everything in tight spots. try the harder to reach bolts 1st to see of they come off so you can do the easy ones afterwards.

I would spray all bolts with a penetrating spray and let sit overnight.
