This morning around 9 am I was pulling out of the Sunrize Shopping Center at Baseline and Carnelian in Alta Loma; a guy in a silver Versa hatchback was coming in. He gave me a hearty thumbs up and a smile which I gladly returned. It's been a while since I crossed paths with someone with that enthusiastic of a recognition for a fellow Versa owner. Did that happen to be someone from here?

That's cool. Every time I see another Versa its usually an old woman. I spotted a magnetic grey Versa in a Safeway parking lot and I saw the owner and his significant other walking over to their car. They appeared shocked and delighted to see another Versa! I was looking for a spot near by because they looked like they wanted to say something.. there was one open right next to it, but I didn't want to look like a nerd parking right next to a Versa just because I own a Versa.

So I try another spot.. some person drives out of the spot I was pulling into! Thanks dude! I go for another open spot and something along the same lines happens again. At this point my wife starts yip yappin about parking and I go crazy and say.. (I'm paraphrasing) "I'M TRYING TO FIND A SPOT & PEOPLE KEEP MESSING IT UP WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO!?"

Yeah, we never talked to those Versa owners. Should have just been a nerd and parked right next to him. Next time..

my versa is intimidating... everytime im on the freeway or in parking lots they never want to wave at me and say hi... i try to but then i realize that they either dont care or cant see through the tint... thats why we started the socalversaclub... its not doing so well these days... we have all these socal owners on the forums but they never want to join up... we arent asking for much, we just want to get together and discuss our plans for our cars and share ideas...

I teach driving out of mine........ Lot's of people look twice when they see my car. I am also the only one who teaches out of a 4x4 quad cab truck. You should see the looks I get out of that vehicle.

Maybe so but I think kids need to learn how to drive out of large vehicles. It makes no sense to teach them in a compact if both of their parents drive huge SUV's, trucks or vans.

Yeah I want to meet with more versas. The other little car meets are cool and so are the people but it'd be nice to have more representation.

I was parking at USF for class and I parked next to another superblack when the other guy was getting out and we look over and there's a superblack sedan. It was funny. We talked about his aftermarket HID's for a second, but he didn't seem as excited about the whole thing as I was... Anyways, I'm always seeing old folks putting around in V's..

I've spotted about three Versa's today on the streets. One of them in my neighborhood is owned by an old dude. It was a red sedan 1.8 S. He must of bought it a week ago, had the dealer frames on it and temp license plate. I don't think he would be the candidate to modify it to his liking.

Another I saw was a woman with a Magnetic Gray hatchback 1.8 S. I drove past her and got in front so she knows she's not alone, heh. Her car was bare stock, not even tints or rims.

Lastly, I saw another Arctic Blue 1.8 S hatchback dropping their kids off for school. It was missing a wheelcover, and dirty as heck, lol. I haven't seen too many SL's around here, just the stripped down S trims unfortunately.

I tend to stand out more because of the tints and LED lights I have on it, plus I tend to keep mine washed on the exterior every 2 weeks or so.

Is there anything us NICO peeps can do to get people to come on this site and represent more such as decals or business cards or flyers?

I was parking my V a week ago around 10pm, I was parking it infornt of another V and in the back of some car, So im pulling in and I guess the chick that was in the grey V though I was getting too close she starts honking her horn and all that, anyways I parked my normal way left the car. Next day I come out I see her V again and she got all the bumper protectors which I had on my car, the same exact way, thus she is missing things fromt what i got on my V, :D i got a Lincoln town car horn on my V :D
