Was Stewie A Ripoff?

A friend sent me this. He said it is a comic from 1996 that Stewie from "Family Guy" was stolen from:From a book "Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth"

There are certainly shades of Stewie there. Football head, rather eloquent for baby. Still, Stewie is much more mean-spirited and is more like a infant version of a James Bond villain.

Stewie is a strange combination of evil genius and naive child.

Well aside from stewie hating Lois I can see similarities.

similar, but not exactly the same. it's a possibility that seth mcfarlane stole the idea

I can see what you are talkin about, but even if its stolen Id rather stewie

I'm sure there are plenty of similar ideas out there. I seriously doubt Seth Macfarlane was the first to come up with a smart baby. He may have been the first to come up with an old-timer baby bent on world domination and the demise of his mother though. Happy 40th birthday, Lois! :wink:
