ok today my cars battery was about dead and i needed to charge it. Looked around and i couldnt find the charger anywhere, my gf was there and she said i could borrow her battery out of her truck. Needless to say now i feel like a dumbass because i just wasn't paying attention. I hooked up the battery, but unfortunantly the terminals were hooked up wrong because i wasnt really paying attention. Go to start the car w/o knowing. THen pop. I figured oh **** i didnt check the terminals. Looked and i had a blow eng. con fuse. 25A along with a 75A ALTernator fuse. Then i go to try again btw lol this time the battery is hooked up right. But i pop my ignition fuse this time. So i replace that fuse (its a 30A fuse) i try again. And the ignition fuse pops again the ecu isnt getting power and the fuel pump isnt turning on.

What should i look for guys, i know im never going to do that again, but i am stumped to what is wrong now.

You probably have a short somewhere. Possibly a melted wire or something....

how would i go about finding out if my ecu is fried? is there a way to test it? Also the relays in the fuse box by the battery, how do you test those? and what wires should i mainly be checking?

ok just a bit more info for you sr20 masters, I was told by a tech i should unplug sensors and the ecu and then put the key in the on position and see what happens. Anyway i unplugged the coils, cas, ignitor chip, and the ecu. After all that stuff was unplugged i put the key in the on position again and i blew the ignition fuse again. Does this tell you guys anything?

Make sure that plastic tab on the alternator is still under the 12v terminal. My cousin's car didn't have that tab and we were searching all nite long to find out why we kept blowing the main fuse 75A?. If it isn't that, you will just have to search for a short with a multimeter.
