I know it will vary from dealership to dealership, but typically is bodywork something covered under warranty? My neighbor and I were trying to move cars around last night so our apartment complex could plow snow the next day. I pulled the Altima into the carport and broke the driver’s side mirror cover off. The cover looks fine, but the black plastic that houses the mirror is chipped at the edge. If anyone has any thoughts or a cheap way to fix this problem, please let me know.

It will cost 168$ for the part. I didnt ask how much labor would be to fix the part. It apperas that the mirror cover was not broken and the only part that is borken is the part that houses the mirror. It is chipped at the end. I am thinking about just putting the cover back on and seeing if the chipped part is noticable.

Dude, let me look into my discounted price for you. I bet I can get it cheaper. Putting it on is not a huge deal so save yourself the labor. And Nissan warranty won't cover anything like that unless the dealer did it. What year car and trim is it?

Rev,I have a 2002 2.5S Altima. I can look at the sticker to get the number off the part that is broken. If you can order the part, Repoman and I could figure out how to put it on. Thanks bro,

I checked with the Nissan Dealership and it will be $178 for the part and another $100 to install it. They also said they need to repaint the cover Mystic Emerald Green. Blah. Over $300 to fix a part that probably costs a few bucks to make. I think for 300 you could probably get 2 aftermarket side mirrors. I may be trippin.

I saw an aftermarket one online that had a built in turn signal in it.If you have to replace it you might look into this option.(though you would have to replace both sides that way)
