Well you guys are all aware of how my motor was knocking so i took it apart to find out that it was detonating and melting the piston and piston deck causing pieces of aluminum to beat up the #1 and 4 cylinders. So then a month later they agree to send me a new motor, however. While my car is at the shop a local crackhead breaks into it, steals my exhaust manifold, downpipe, intercooler piping, turbo, o2 housing etc etc.

Now im actually able to get ahold of the people that sold me the motor and they are like well we are only going to send you a new block and head, you have to use your stock parts on this motor (which i dont have).

So now, what is the use of buying a stock manifold, stock turbo, stock o2 housing and stock downpipe to replace the stolen parts? So what do I do instead?

I call my friend who is the owner of SSR Engineering and since he feels sorry for me he is going to build me a complete t3/t4 kit for under $2000, which includes a t3/t4, tial wastegate, stainless tubular manifold, intake pipe, 3'' downpipe, aluminum intercooler piping and a spearco intercooler, and an HKS SSQV BOV.

So I guess there is light at the end of the tunnel afterall.

Sounds like you need one of those European alarms. Somewhere in Europe this guy attached a pipe with jets under all sides of his car, hooked it to a propane tank. when the alarm went off it sprayed 3 foot flames out all sides of the car :-D

This is a case in which revenge is best served piping hot :)

hahahahaha, too bad thats illegal, or else there would be ALOT more deaths in america. Just think, how scared would you be to know that if you broke into a car you have a chance you can get burned to a crisp :oblivion:

It would cut down on car thefts, that's for sure...

I had a buddy that hooked up a system to send short burst of electricity throught the body. It wasn't enough to do any serious damage to the theif, but it would knock you on the ground for a second. You would think twice about breaking into cars if the cars fought back :D

ive actually been thinking about the legality of having you car electrified.

imagine this. you arm your alarm. there are capacitance/induction sensors on the door handles.

if someone grabs the door handle with the system active, they get a nice 20kV or so shock.

or, even better, in the seats. when the thief gets in the car, the seat starts up with the 20kV shocking.

downside- what if some little brat that just cant keep his hands to himself touches the door handle, gets a bad shock, and the parent tries to sue you.

the one i like is the lawnmower blade on hydraulic rams. if you try to break into the car it shoots out and cuts off your legs at the ankles. that thief would NEVER break into anything ever again.

you can also get it with just a steel rod that breaks their legs, it would still suck some serious ace though.

Hi XtremeHKS,

If they are only sending a block and a head, make sure it is a ca18det not ca18de,

Nothing really NOTICEABLE from the outside but with the block out you should be able to check for those items.

Not much difference from the out side, just make sure that teh block has the oil fiitting that feeds to the turbo and has the coolant fitting as well that goes to the turbo, that is one way of telling if the block a det or not.
