Hey everyone...

I just bought a new 2006 350Z. My previous vehicle was a bagged ranger with a ton of custom suspension and external modifications, so I'm an amateur at engine horsepower upgrades. However, I'm interested in adding some HP to my Z without voiding the 6 year/100,000 mile warranty. Any general suggestions, or what's the most extreme thing I could do?

Welcome to Nico!as far as staying under warrenty, I think you are stuck with the Nismo options, you can buy them from a nissan dealer and they are nissan parts so I assume they do not void the warranty, they have the basic intake and exhaust as well as cams suspension and dress up parts

thank you. TT's...don't they only effect exhaust? That is, if I got TT's on my Z, and the engine or transmission went out within 100,000 miles, I think they would still be covered?

"TT's"? you mean twin turbo's? yeah thats gonna void yuour warranty, your using the exhaust to pressurize air and force way more and hotter air ito the motor than nissan intended yeah thats gonna void your warranty

and if your doing twin turbo's most kits are really maxing the limits of the motor, one ping and the engine is history, and the rods are the limiting factor, honestly is you want to mod a Z buy a used one, no point paying for the warranty if your gonna void it

"Don't go past the manifold or use forced induction"

Words to live by for keeping your factory warranty. Headers and intake plenum/spacer are as far as you can go...once you do FI or cams (inside the heads) your warranty is over - the drivetrain warranty, anyways.

Otherwise, if NISMO makes the part, you can modify it.

yeah -it was pretty much an impulse buy when I got my Z...I did the whole warranty and everything, so I probably won't do much to it...not worth it. thanks for the input.
