Warped Interior Panels

I am redoing my vert interior. The panels are warped pretty bad, so I thought maybe heating up the plastic, I could shape them back into shape.

Sure enough, a littlle heat with a propane torch and you can form them in any form you like.

It doesnt take much heat, and they stay quite pliable for a minute or so.

I heated from the inside at the bends seemed to work best.

We can all now have the interior we want without looking like it came from a junk yard.

Oh! I did that too. It was a small piece though, but it worked with a torch and a lighter. At first I used boiled water, but it didn't work at all. Trick is once you straighten or bend as you want, spray cold water right after. That helps and you don't have to wait. And be patient...

I am definately going to try this! I have a little dessert torch that I think will work.

Great idea. Althuogh I think maybe I would try a heat gun for better control . I can see myself doing this in the future.Thanks, This forum rocks!
