IMO, it is a good investment.
First, it will cost roughly the same or slightly less than an OEM one.
Second, it will improve the exhaust flow and help increase your hp and mpg. The stock y-pipe is the most restrictive part of the exhaust on a Maxima.
I don't know anyone that has had a problem with their warpspeed y-pipes, but I have heard some people complain about the time it takes to receive them. Apparently, they can be slow to ship things.
With the mods I have, including a y-pipe, intake, udp and exhaust, I get around 28-30 mpg on the freeway going 70-75 mph. It might be higher if I were to go 55 the whole time. That is quite a bit better than the old standard of 26 mpg hwy and way above the current standard, which lists my 92 5-speed as getting 24 mpg hwy.
