I dont post on this, but i do post on g35nyc+myg37.

Infiniti of Manhasset refused to recognize my slave cylinder problem covered under warranty, and tried to make me pay 2800 for clutch+flywheel.took it to a independent shop, they replaced the cylinder and its fine now, but it wont be covered by warranty because Manhasset refused to acknowledge that it was a slave cylinder problem.

read more about it here.

Welcome aboard....

Are there no other Infiniti dealerships nearby? Did you try calling the Nissan/Infiniti help line to complain? Just curious.

if i get it towed to another dealer at this point i gotta pay for each tow. and if they refuse to acknowledge the problem, i am s*** out of luck. might as well cut my losses and take it to a shop i know and pay for a new cylinder.

i called corporate, i said dealer told me i needed a new clutch, i took it to an independent shop and they replaced the cylinder not the clutch, why no warranty, corporate said they cover only what the dealer says needs to be covered, and if dealer says cylinder is fine, im screwed.

Yep, understood. Sounds like the dealer is acting like a Nissan dealership in which occasionally you have to slap them around a bit (not literally). Neither of the Infiniti shops I use give me any grief.

I had issues with both Infiniti road side service and a infiniti dealer out in Allentown PA. Our last G35 MAF sensor crapped out while we where in Hershey PA. I called up Road side help they wanted to tow the car to Maryland, when I lived in North NJ. None the less after doing a little internet searching I found a dealer in Allentown PA and had to redirect the car to that dealer for repairs the next day. Then once they started working on the car they said the MAF is not covered under warranty. So I called up Infiniti USA talked to them and after about 1 hour of back and forth told them about how road side help wanted to send the car out of the way for me plus how can a MAF not be covered under warranty. They agreed to replace the MAF senor if the dealer preforms a carbon cleaning.

Then I had one other issue when we got our 2nd G35, I took the car to a dealer and they said no one owns the car and they could not do work on it because it was never registered with Infiniti USA , and that I would have to call and register the car. All and all I feel the Infiniti dealers just want to take your money when you buy the car and when it needs repair they do not want to know you if something happens to it under warranty. Plus the Customer service help is not there, I get the feeling of that I am on my own with this car at a dealer.

I went to get an air and oil filter from a Infiniti dealer and while I was there I asked if I could pick these parts up at a Nissan dealer (since Nissan is closer then Infinti) and they said they can not cross reference parts between the two makers. For a motor that is used in just about the whole line it seems they are very unorganized for parts that come in Nissan boxes

PS. Infiniti USA hates being called Nissan. They correct every time I called them Nissan.

I've had great service from Infiniti in West Long Branch and they do excellent work. I also get discounts on parts.

Infiniti of Scottsdale is simply amazing. I have the best service experiences there. Once while my car was in for service I called and asked them to find me a certain resturant, one that I wasn't even quite sure the name and they found it for me.

I get a decent discount on the parts too!

Keep looking around your going to find a dealership that cares and LOVE them! I gave my service advisor a Christmas present this year.
