You're far from blame here, so relax. I was going to do the DIY anyway, as I do with anything I install. I got 5 other DIY's i'm working on now.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:OK.. thanks for the help.
I am excited but i feel that i am partially responsible for this as i wanted someone to do a DIY so i can see if it works...

Agreed... If they reject you again, start barking up the chain. Forward your email to the sales manager and if he rejects you, respond to him again, but CC in some corporate folks. Once rejection starts, the only way to win is to show them how they'll lose if they don't rectify things, and by "them", I mean upper management/ownership.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:Lets see what they say.. That sounds very good. I would take it to the very top of their company for sure. Talke to the GM or Owner about this.

Sorry to hear of your experience and I certainly hope they make things right for you. But as one of the older farhts on this site, I find it hard to understand why you would want to do this modification in the first place? Especially being the first one to do so with no feedback from others?Making modifications in todays complex vehicles is a lot different from the days of 55 Chevys and 58 Fords when I was your age.I can still recall the changeover from automotive 6v electrical systems in the 1950's to 12volts. We are getting close to the time when the conversion from 12v to 24volts will occur because of the total electrical amperage required for all of the additional automotive accessories being added year after year. Heat dissapation, electrical wiring capacity, and total load factors are important engineering parameters that need to be considered prior to making modifications. One of the things I have learned over the years is to never try to fix anything that isn't broke.
Good luck

Agreed..joe603 wrote:I know it sucks that this happened, but I could have been much worse. A fire in the engine bay would have been a total loss for your car...and you could have been at fault. I say take the offer and Beaners replacements...
Good luck Sneake
