Hello all,

I have been having this issue for a couple weeks now and im running out of ideas to try to fix it. When the motor is cold the car will start up but once it warms up it will not start back up. I have a aftermarket water temp gauge and noticed that once the temp gets to 140 and above the car wont start at all. once it falls below that it will start, but idle very ruff like its miss firing. give it some gas and it will smooth out and drive normal. I have a 2006 g35 coupe 5 A/T with turbonetics single kit. I have replaced the spark plugs (step colder), both cam angle sensors, coolant temp sensor, fuel pump (deashworks), battery is about 5 months old, same for the maf and throttle body. thermostat is about 8 months old and is a mishimoto t stat. I am also tuned on uprev program. i am clueless on how to fix this issue. any help will be great.

How does the car run, once started and up to temp? It could be your starter itself. Does it try and start or just click? How close is the turbo to the starter?

Once started the car runs fine. Its just getting it to start once the motor warms up. When i try to start it, it will just crank but not catch. Turbo sits on driver side kinda behind the headlight.

I'm thinking that the solenoid is shot...just not pushing the gear to the flywheel. The addition of the turbo may have increase the heat around that area. When it's cold, the solenoid will work because its electrical components "connect", but when it's warmed up, they won't connect.

If the starter cranks, then it's probably ok.

i will check the starter but i also noticing that when the car gets to normal/high temps (180-210) the car will start to idle ruff and seems like it doesnt shoot fuel. fans kick on and everything it will just not idle right or run right till the temps drop below 180. im guessing this is related to my no starting when warm issue but still cant pinpoint it out. this is preventing me from getting a custom tune.

Could it be ecu management issues of not getting enough fuel when hot? Can you give it a lot of gas and it start up from a hot shutdown? I know I had this problem with the supercharger kit and just did a few changes with uprev and gave it more fuel on starts and it solved my problems.
