yeah i have been talking to the guy its in Alberta and im form Saskatchewan. so he is dropping the price. he also says that it revs at 1200rpm then drops to 800 then back up to 1200 thens dies. would that be a blown head gasket or cracked block?

too pricey for a car that doesn't go far. negotiate the price. other than that, it looks good from what i see in the pics.

Where are you located? Can you go see the car? If not, I wouldn't do it. Especially at $2500 ... no way.

in a different provenience... and theres no way i would take it for 2500. im trying to get him under 2. but i would just want to try narrow the problem down. like i'm wanting to put a new engine in the car but would want to drive it for a bit before i go and do that. and i need to wait for my bonus to hahaha...

first, i do believe that's a 91, probably a late 90 build date. the engine will run fine on an auto ecu.

wrong engine and front bumper for a 90. as for why it's doing whatever it's doing, it's really hard to diagnose a car problem, over the internet, with only "it shuts off after 30minutes-1 hour" to work with.

yeah i get that. and no its not the engine is not stock. there use to be a rb20 in it then the timing chain want. so her put in the KA into it. but yeah i get that its almost impossible to help me out on trying to find out what could be wrong with it..

No opinion if you should buy it, but definitely check out the Medicine Hat Tigers if you get some time, I hear they're not bad ;)

its a 90? and has an Auto ecu and a 5spd on a DOHC? It shouldn't run well. DOHC needs the right ecu. SOHC it doesn't matter.

Doesn't know miles on it. this should be like $500, here you figure this s*** out kinda deal.

I think its a 90 it says so. and its a DOHC. the engine has around 140K on it. and im thinking 1000 with out me knowing whats wrong with it. and having to drive like 8 hours to get it.

Clean looking... whats up with pass headlight??... bet car never had RB20... had a SOHC had front end crash... got Chuki bumper and DOHC along with fresh paint which would explain some discrepancies... pay $600 local $300 if had to drive over 2 hours cause the trip back could take double since it doesnt run but 30 minutes... if it ran fine different story... just my 2 cents

sorry to say this but your in canada why not get a jdm silvia? laws in canada are so different from the US and its so easy to get a JDM car there. thats my 2 cents. from what i saw of the pics of the car it looks good and might be worth the trouble shooting if your up to the challenge.

I wouldn't buy it. I'm just too picky when it comes to picking out a car. Plus, if you wait long enough. There will usually be a better buy. I almost bought a god damn civic (just for it's reliability) because all the 240sx' ('89 - '98) were either too expensive (like ten grand for a stock '97 or '98 jesus...), or was really messed up somehow. Or was a piece of junk.

If you've got a short budget, and can't afford the parts that need to be fixed any time soon. I say keep looking. I waited long enough and by god a '98 for $3,100.00 popped up with minimal damage.

Good luck finding (a better) one!
