I am looking into installing a dual exhaust system for my 2000 nissan pathfinder. How much do you guys think it'd cost, and where can I buy it?

Thanks

Likely will require some custom fabrication, but any competent exhaust shop can do it.

Currently, you have 2 downpipes merging into a Y-pipe, which then travels back to the rear of the truck. They'd have to cut off the downpipes, run new pipes about halfway back (where I'd recommend a crossover or an X-pipe), and then a pair of mufflers, then pipe back to the rear.

Alternatively, a pair of straight-through resonators right after the crossover, terminating in mufflers under the rear bumper, would be even nicer (that's how I would build it at my exhaust shop).

I'd estimate anywhere from $400 to $600, depending on where you live.

I live in Nashville, TN and ya I'm going to see if anyone around here can so it. Been wanting it for a while. Truthfully there's a few things I want to do, but I just don't know what all would look best etc.

Ill probably contact my local muffler shop today. Do you know if you can buy the parts online, and where to buy them??

Sure. Some shops require you to use THEIR stuff. Skip 'em.

For the resonators and mufflers, stick with Magnaflow. No reason to mess with anything else - After 11 years in the biz, we've cut open a LOT of components... there's a lot of junk and false claims in the exhaust market.

A pair of Magnaflow resonators and a pair of small Magnaflow canister mufflers will make beautiful noises. :)
