ok so here it is... anyway its $520, which you would think for that price it would be pretty well done and no shortcuts taken... anyway its in japan which also leads me to believe its not a cheap pos. But i dunno, IT LOOKS very well constructed and i have emails into them requesting more pictures... but i wanted to see what the entire RB community thought of this

thanks

Phil

it may say location is in japan, but member is from thailand. I really think its a 50/50 shot. 1 good point is that they put the vac ports on the bottom. I think its retarded when someone makes a nice polished out manifold and but sticks three ugly *** nipples sticking out the top...

I wouldn't go for it. Whoever typed it doesn't know english very well. And it has been said to stay away from e-bay for *important* car items. I would compare this to buying an exhaust manifold off of ebay. If you want/need a manifold, I would say bite the bullet and pay for the name brand.

If it was $100 i'd say go for it, but $500 is too much to lose IMO (maybe your last name is Gates)

Tophat stopped making those plenums. My friend got that manifold, Its got velocity stacks on it, and its good a great design, but the only thing that needs to be modded is the thermostat housing for it to clear..

Can't really say on the quailty. But as far as the company I don't really trust them. I seen when they had manifolds a while back and they say (and still) it takes about 2months to make one and they throw them up there like an assembly line. they been using the same pictures forever too... Idk.. try your luck or just bite the bullet on a trusted brand like its been said above..

i just spoke to Mike Sims at Tophat. They do still make (just started again) the RB20DET Plenum. altho he admits it didnt sell to well because it was small. He said for an additional $150 over the current $400 asking price that they could make me a larger plenum (4.5 inches) in the same design, but tucked in a little closer to the motor so its not so extremely spread out. do you guys think this would be a good option?

I say better than a mystery plenum from tailand..

Tophat has been good to the RB community so I believe if you have problems its not to hard to get help. I say TopHat

I'll be in Kurisawa next weekend...Want me to go take a look see. LOL.

Yeah, I'm gonna say, buy from a company you can trust. You don't want problems from something then not be able to get into contact with the company that sold it to you. Fly By Night companies can suck it.

That ebay manifold is worthless without pics of the inside of the tank.
