Hi im new to this site also new to japanese cars. Don't know much about ecu computers, and fuel injection. Mainly know about old school v8's and rotaries. Wanting to learn as much as i can about my car i just bought. It's a s13 rb20det. The first question I would like answered if someone can can for me is: Wat is the standard boost out of a waste gate of an rb20det? I look forward to talking with people that have knowlege of my engine and other people that have the same cars and engine as me.

Stock boost is 10 psi. If you don't have a boost gauge id highly advise getting one.

Also man, just search around on this site and skylines australia. There is TONS of info on the rb20det on here!

Ok so im dropping in an rb this winter. I have a few concerns

1. the downpipe. the motorset I am purchasing doesn't come with one. whats the best one to use? stock rb20 r32? or custom make? or ebay?

2. Looking for a good fmic. Ive seen alot posted up on here, but nobody specifies what type it is. I dont want to spend big bucks either

Mckinney sells a down pipe don't know if it works with stock RB crossmember but I know it works with there mount kit and it's 3". A lot of people just a XSpower core and a hybrid intercooler kit I think. I went custom with a griffin intercooler core with apexi end tanks that I use now on my ugpraded turbo setup.

My stock boost was about 10psi with the 3" downpipe no cat and 3" exhaust.
