Wanting some advice on a 240z

Hi, this is my first post on Nico Club.

I'm trying to find out some info on the 240z and 280z because I found a 240z that I'm think about buying and it has a 280z engine.

Here's some info:$4900, price negotiable. 1972 240z with a rebuilt 280z engine, 5-speed.

Rebuilt suspension.

New paint.

Interior has a new carpet kit, dash, and diamond plate aluminum floor (not sure I like that)

It "still needs some interior assembly (heater) and some electrical work", I'm going to inquire more about that.

Most of this is a direct quote from the guy selling it.

I currently have a '93 Nissan 240sx. I'd like to have a more unique car, not looking for huge power but good looks are important.

Any input anyone might have would be appreciated.

Rust. As you said the car is repainted but thoroughly check knick and cranny's. Below windshield weatherstrips, below rain gutters, below battery try, rocker panels, floor boards, etc etc. The rest of the car is workable. Good Luck.

I've got a pretty extensive "look for" list, but it sounds like you probably did OK.

it's also got a 280Z hood and valance, be sure to take a good look at the frame rails and firewall for any signs fo creasing
