Sounds like what you want is the strut units themselves without the inserts.

At first I thought "if only this was about 1 year ago, I could have saved mine" but that's just for the inserts. I think you'll have a tough time finding anyone with spares as this part get's re-used, and doesn't need to be replaced, only the inserts need to be replaced.

used set of what? stocks or struts...

Falk, Are the struts themselves inserts just the lower spindle piece? or does a shock body slide into the tube?

Strut inserts slide into the strut tube, and the spindle is an integrated part of the strut tube, so the only way to get it off would be to cut it.

thats actually good to know, it might aid in building the air ride kit...

I take it then theres just a screw on collar or nut at the top and keeps the strut inside the tube?

Because it is one piece, then the strut insert slides into the strut/spindle unit, and you lock it in there with a threaded collar like you mentioned.

I can send you the .pdf of the FSM if you don't have it, it will be helpful for you.

Nice sig Kevin, with the night shot. You can really see the light reflecting off the freshly waxed body.
