So a mate rang me today from VA saying he's moving back to NZ with his wife and their new baby in a few weeks. He is also bringing back a container which is being packed in 7-8 days!He owes me some money so after these bits . I know the crank's a pipe dream, but I understand the 96 and older infinityQ45 had an R200 diff at 3.45 ratio, and that the 97-02 Q45 had an r200 but was 3.69 ratio! Can someone please confirm if this is correct, and whether any other US nissans used these diff ratios. Mettlers mate may have a 3.45 here in NZ possibly for sale, but really keen on a 3.69 R200, and /or both. Over here we only get the 3.69 ratio in the R230 which is like the size of the moon and nearly as heavy. If anyone can help or put me onto someone in that area it'd be appreciated. Also an approx price a wrecker might want for these diffs as a guide for him to phone around, as he's reeaally green on cars and parts. Cheers.

Have him go to http://www.car-part.com and run a search of wrecking yards in his area. For the rear diff he will need to search under the keyword "carrier".

He should have no problem finding one. I just ran a quick search myself and found a bunch.

Nissan 4x4s come with 4.363 and 4.636 R200s...is that going to be TOO low? That would be an easy one to get cheap.

I have a infiniti rear axle still in the car from a 92 Q45 that I could take out and even deliver to him if the price is right. Let me know, email in profile.

Cool. That would be awesome. There was someone on here (or maybe the other nissanv8 forum that sank) that may have had a crank from a VK56. If so are you reading this? I will settle for a late q45 diff though...
