Wanted: New forum

Fred, or another other mods/admins. I would like to request/suggest a new forum for NICO. I would like to see a "racing stories" forum where all street/track stories and pics can be accumulated. I really enjoy reading these stories and seeing pics of these sort of things, so I would liek to have it all in one place for easy viewing. Street racing, drag racing, road racing, autocrossing, and any other sort of racing that you can do with a nissan should be included in this forum. It's just an idea I've seen from other forums and thought it would be a good addition to ours. And, no, I'm not encouraging street racing, just want all the stories in one place.

We have a threads going on is Infinti as "Infitni Speeding Stories" and one with "altima speeding stories" they are both long and interesting, It is an interesting suggestion though.As much as I am usually opposed to adding too many new forums (to prevent dilution of our membership presence) I may execute your suggestion anyway.

I understand about the speeding stories and such, but what about personal stories. That way we get new threads daily, instead of just adding to the old ones, so things are much easier to view. You won't have to page through 6 or 7 pages to read a new reply or to post a new story.

very true... just say "racing story" or some other label in your title then if someone wants to read some they do a search

yeah I dont see why they need to be seperate from all the other stuff her in general. Just make good titles and that'll seperate it out enough for me. I vote nay!

On the topic of New forums:

The B/S/T forum gets loaded up very quickly. How about seperating the WTS from the WTB? Its neater and easier to use too, and new threads don't get bumped into oblivion so quickly.

the only reason i dont like "racing" forum sections is because usually over 50% of the stories are like "i was street racing and i beat a mustang GT with my stock accord, i swear!" or "i was racing down a street and i almost hit a minivan coming out of a driveway!" or "i was street racing and i got arrested!"

Maybe it would be different with NICO members, but on some of the other forums i have visited it seems like a bunch of people competing for the darwin award are attracted to post stories about them doing stupid crap.

Matt and I would have an interesting story after getting around that horse trailer on I-65 and trying to catch Fred and Cullen. I think Matt was actually tailgated by a cop for a while. We're both lucky we weren't stopped, 'cause we were hitting speeds you could get cuffed for.
