I have a new sound system in my new lincoln that I kind of want to test out. I'm getting bored of a lot of my music. I like stuff like classic rock, some pop, some electronica, techno, stuff like that.

My son even turned me onto music from Kid Cudi which I enjoyed even though its rap. I normally can't stand gangsta rap but I enjoyed the Kid Cudi.

Suggestions?

No death metal or screamers wanted. I like melody and understandable lyrics.

I love classic rock but I'm kind of getting bored of it lately and it doesn't really show off a good sound system. Oddly enough, a lot of Beatles music has some good bass.

The Prodigy for some good techno/electro.

People Under the Stairs, Aesop Rock for hip-hop if you're into it.

Good bass, not too gangster, chill beats.

Rage Against the Machine? Sublime?Red Hot Chili PeppersYou may not like this suggestion, but in a car with an awesome system, the first song I would listen to would be The Art of Dying by a band called Gojira. Give it a chance to grow on you because it's a badass song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGuHYOThn7YThat one gets my LS thumping to the point where my mirrors are useless. Band is called Danger Mouse.

Look into Rob Dougan.http://popup.lala.com/popup/360569509595531602 (actual music doesn't start until the 1:00 mark for some reason)http://popup.lala.com/popup/360569462350891156Some of his stuff is instrumental, some has singing. A lot of his songs can be had either way.

Kid Cudi isn't rap, it's hip-hop, y0!

Um, DJ Doboy is a good artist, but the Gorillaz first album(self entitled) had quite a bit of bass.

The Bravery's "An Honest Mistake," has quite a bit of bass as well. You might enjoy some laughs from LMFAO. They are a joke hip hop group, youtube them before you download. Those are the few I can think of while at work.

One song you must download that is from a gangster, but is pretty mellow, is Mac Dre's Since'84. REALLY good beat, and the feel in the song is just really cool.

OMG DUDE I can't believe you listen to Doboy way back when. I actually donated to him too. He was the bees knees. I used to catch all his stuff sky.fm's techno channel.

Wow good times.... Thanks KV for bringing me back...

Silverchair's album "Diorama" reminds me a lot of The Beatles in their Sgt. Pepper days, great band, great album.

I still listen to the one album I have that's badly scratched. I lost most of my music when I moved...

Saltillo- A Necessary End

A Weird Mix Between Classical, Hip-Hop, Electro, Poetry, Instrumentals And Some Other Stuff.

Should Give You A Cool Feeling With Bass. His Other Song Are Very Similar, Kinda Make You Feel Like Someone Somewhere Is Making A Video Of Your Life.

All His Song Are Somewhat Like This.

Another One I Like From Him, Very Fitting For This Thread.

For a pretty good mix of rock and various electronica, Pendulum might be a good choice. I have the In Silico Album. Haven't heard some of their older stuff, but its got a lot of energy. They have roots in drum and bass as their primary influence so there is a decent amount of bass. It probably has the most bass of any other CD in the Titan. Some of their songs are pretty much drum and bass but with lyrics rather than an emcee so its a bit easier on the mainstream crowd. Search for them on google. You can easily find a few of their songs to be streamed on the first page.

You can always use a Bass Mechanics CD.
