Hi there, as the title says I'm after a MAF sensor & housing for my VK45. I recently bought the engine, gearbox, loom & ecu to do a conversion into my 2006 Zed roadster, the VQ35 died. The only thing is it never came with a MAF sensor or housing & I am struggling to find 1! My engine has came out of a 2001 Japanese Nissan Cima with very low mileage & from a reputable dealer. The thing is this engine was never available in any car or format here in the UK so finding parts for it is a nightmare. I know the Infiniti Q45 is the same car as the Cima & my engine was used in that car in the US from 2002-2010. So can anyone help me out please? Obviously I know shipping to the UK isn't cheap, I buy from & have friends in the US, so I ain't expecting anything for nothing. Any help would be awesome.

Hello! Interesting project you have there.

Unfortunately no VK45DD engine was offered in the US as a factory option, we have VK45DE, and these are some of the cars that used that engine along with the different iterations of the MAF:

2002-2004 Q45

2005-2006 Q45

2003-2004 M45

2006-2010 M45

2003-2006 FX45

2007-2008 FX45

As you can see, it's a mixed bag, some of it seemingly due to the way it is mounted. I don't know if the element itself is any different. I am tempted to guess that the 2002 Q45 would be the closest relative to your engine.
You probably have done more research than what I could come up with in 15 minutes.
  • Do you know what the original MAF and tube should look like?
  • Also, this is out of curiosity, but do you have all-around pictures of the engine, mainly for my curiosity to see which of the US engines it resembles most closely.

Car wise it is an Infiniti Q45 available 2002-2010 in the US. The only difference between the DD & DE is the DD has multipoint direct injection & the DE does not. So a slightly different intake manifold but everything else is the same. I can take pics later, when I'm home, of the engine. Also as far as can tell the MAF is 86 or 91mm.

The MAF sensor is a 4 pin plug. I have found a new sensor & hosing on eBay but very expensive as it's new.

Give me a day or so, and I'll see what I have in the garage.

Have you looked into ebay? I don't know if the rates are any better, but most sellers accept international purchases.
I usually offer free shippping, so my only cost is shipping to their hub in Erlanger, Kentucky. The overseas buyer pays an additional cost from there.

Sorry, this one in my garage from a 2006 M45 will probably not work for you.
