Wanted complete sunroof for my 240SX SE S14

Hello everyone,

A few weeks I was driving on the highway and the moulding on my sunroof must have been loose ...it was really windy that day next thing I hear is a loud cracking sound...i pull over and see that the plastic strip that goes before the weatherstrip moulding is cut in two pieces
Dealer only sells the moulding weather strip BUT they do not sell that plastic strip....dealer told me I have to buy a whole new sunroof for $1,200... does anyone know where I can get one.....My sunroof works fine...motor is excellent and glass intact all original ...it's crazy I have to spend that much and buy the whole sunroof...... help....my baby needs to get fixed summer is around the corner and I need my sunroof!!!!!!!!

The link doesn't show the part I need (not too many pics of sunroof parts when i click each part #) lets try this: picture the sunroof closed on the outside fully closed now all you see is the glass in the middle and the trim that is around the edge of the glass ..what do you call that ?that is what I need .

I think that the trim ring that you need is made of fiberglass. It might be possible to make one.
Mine was broken and I found a wrecking yard that had an s14. They sold me the entire roof, sunroof and all for $75. They cut it off at the windshield posts and loaded it into my wife's mini-van. Good hunting. I had been quoted up to $350 elsewhere. Still cheaper than $1200.

Dude i feel your pain! the same strip on my s14 is chipped all around n it looks horrible.. i bought it that way tho have no idea what happened to it to get it that way.. anyways let me know what ya end up doing so i can form a solution of my own!
