Hey guys,

I've been enjoying the A/C for over 6 years now. It introduced me to modifications and mechanical work, and I love the combination of practicality and fun.

It's finally retiring as a daily driver.

Here is the new (old) project!

1991 Miata. 1.6 liter, 5 speed. Goal is to get it autoX worthy.

So far I have a roll bar, wheels and tires, sway bars, shocks and springs, header/cat/exhaust, intake, and steering wheel.

Plans are to delete AC and power steering. Still looking for a racing seat and 5-point harness.

Let me know what you guys think! I hardly post any more but I still lurk Nico regularly.

I was just thinking about a 240sx or a miata. That looks like a lot of fun and probably a great driving experience.

Miatas ROAST auto-x, you will not be disappointed in this purchase.
Mind sharing what you paid and what your budget is?

EDIT: Looks like you are well on your way in terms of purchases, budget is nil at this point.

I rescued the car from the ghetto - East Palo Alto. Came with a massive oil leak from every seal, skull shift knob and skull sticker :rotflmao

All for $2,000. Probably $1,500 in mods - Everything besides roll bar and tires is used from Craigslist!

I did many semi-intentional power slides with the POS thin Ricken tires it came with!
