i need advice on the value of this 66 grill. i plan on getting rid of it but i dont know where or when. i dont want to give it away for cheap or gouge someone either. i know it only goes on a 66 and rumored to fit a few early 67's so i know my buyer base is slim as ever. there are no dents but is very rusty(not rusted through). unlike all the other models it is a one piece grill. i'm sure there not easy to find undented or unbent.

to me it's atleast worth $50 but $100 sounds better and i will be shining it up a little. this is a good canidate to have rechromed i think. i've even wanted to have it rechromed for myself and i dont even have a 520. seems the 520's are more rare than the 320's for some reason. let alone a 66.

places i'm thinking to sell1. a guy in town has a 66 and i told him to give me an offer but he never did. i could contact him with a specific price i'm looking for.

2. ebay with a reserve of whatever i'm feeling that day.

3. datsun sites like this one.

have any of you bought or sold a 66 grill. do tellthanks guys,  dan

Dan, I'd brass wire brush off the rust and clear coat it. It sure would be nice if someone here needed it, as straight as it is it should be worth a lot to someone who needs it. If you don't get someone from here to make you an offer, Ebay, though it's getting to be a pain would probably be the way to go. If it were a 320 grill without a dent I'd give you $100 for it. Ken

yeah i need to take a few pics from the top view and clean it up a bit. i got this off that 520 at pap that you got the metal dash cap out of that was already half taken out. i still cant believe i didn't grab the dash that day. i didn't even notice it was already somewhat loose.

did the grill you sold have the emblem on it?

Hi,

I just saw the picture of your 1966 grill today, 8/6/08. Did you sell it, or am I too late? I have a 66 L520 and am looking for a good grill. I tried buying one from a guy up in Oregon who sells old Datsun parts about a year ago. I was also purchasing some other L520 parts from him at the same time. He sent a few of the small parts, but kept the grill, radio and rear bumper brackets and my money! Doesn"t return my calls. So, if you haven't sold the grill please let me know, thanks, John
