Oh yeah.smockers83 wrote:With the deflation going on, if you still have your job and you aren't in financial trouble, there should be no reason why you changed your spending habits. In fact, with the deflation, you'll get more bang for your buck given that the value of the dollar remains the same. The hardest and biggest part of a recession in a capitalist economy is the mentality of its consumers.
Lol for real. We got a 35KV massive diesel generator for 500 bucks. Thing has 2.5 hours on it, started right up, runs without smoking. We'll be running three phase band saws, tig welding while powering our house if the electricity goes out on us again.charlieo wrote:

Not sure of the tone of this, but we are in a deflationary period which unfortunately discourages spending and investment.charlieo wrote:Oh yeah.

Prices on almost all consumer goods are falling. I'm getting emails from companies (car parts, Amazon, p0rn, etc) practically begging me to buy things and offering deep discounts if I do. People are tightening down and selling things, too. This fills Craigslist, pawn, consignment, etc shops. I've ALWAYS tightened down, and now when everyone else is unloading, I'm buying.smockers83 wrote:

Don't do it! I had one for a while - they really suck compared to lifting at the gym. Of course, if you can't find a good gym, then go ahead with the bowflex, but quite honestly, from a long time weight lifter standpoint, I hate the contraption.AZhitman wrote: a Bowflex
Thx for the tip!marlin29311 wrote:

You have much to learn.
I've never had the ability to use the revolution, though i've heard better things about them than the standard rod bowflex - if you actually get it, let me know how you like it!AZhitman wrote:I was looking at the Revolution (the new model). Got a spare walk-in closet that it'll fit nicely in and still leave room for a full workout and some storage.
All the clothes you wear are used. I just skip the markup and enjoy the depreciation.marlin29311 wrote:

All the underwear I wear is greatly appreciated!ishkabibble wrote:Just as long as you don't wear depreciated underwear, it's all good.
