I posted this in Gen Chat but I don't see many of you there, so I'll make it G related here. Sorry if this is not proper NICO etiquette.

Sept 18-21st 2008, you can drive all out, on a public highway in Nevada, legally, that is, if you are a participant in the Silver State Classic. This is a sponsored, regulated, controlled event on a 90 mile section of Nevada highway that is closed off and guarded for race day.

The journey traverses 90 miles of two lane highway which has recently been repaved and is in excellent condition, with long straights, twisty sections, and dips, which for the faster participants, may result in an airborne experience.

I don't have the huevos to drive my G at top speed for 90 miles, but there may be others here who would like to do so. You have 7+months to prepare.

Sounds pretty good. Maybe that's what they need to do here at the Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles). http://www.tailofthedragon.com/

I would gladly pay $50 for a few hours to get into the deal. I wish many states would take advantage of this money making machine to close lots of budget gaps. Everyone is happy at the end---driver gets satisfaction and state makes plenty of money.

I figured you'd be interested in this Jacko. It's legal but it would scare the Sh** out of me. If you read the data, there are safety meetings, tech inspections and safety equipment required. If I still had that invincibility theory of life, I might try it. Unfortunitely, I'm but a mere mortal now. Still, I'd love to read about someone here doing it.

I would love to go race in that! I think that would be amazing and indiana should do something similar! Jacko3 is right the state would greatly benefit from the race and the drivers wouldn't be tempted to drive iratically on everyday events
