I literally just have :gapteeth:

25ft of E85 ready 5/16 Hoses
Short Block from a TT
Oilpan from a tt
TT side intercoolers
2+2 w/ auto transmission from jdm turbo

So far I am planning to get an
Used TT Plenum
Used TT balance tube
ECU
Turbos (unknown)
Forged Pistons
Gasket Set
Maybe Connecting Rods
e85 fuel injectors and pump

Was looking at:
Aluminum Radiator http://www.aliexpress.com/item/NISSAN-3 ... 56081.html $249
Blanket for turbos http://www.aliexpress.com/item/TURBO-BL ... 26668.html $35
Oil cooler Kit http://www.aliexpress.com/item/VR-RACIN ... 08244.html $115
Intercooler kit $374 http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Nissan-3 ... 90085.html
Vaccum/
Silicone Hose Kit http://www.aliexpress.com/item/radiator ... 33070.html

I was also wondering (not sure if I'm going to do it) what are the benefits/drawbacks to boring out the engine to 89 or 88mm. Also is it necessary to get the block "prepped".

So far have an engine stand and I order the necessary bolts to mount it (M10x80mm). Will get engine hoist in a bit.

My term for law school ends next week so will have all of July to work on this. I understand this is a huge endevour just want to know what I need so I have everything ready to go. So far only done a plenum pull on another 300, but I am ready to learn and work. :ohno:

Welcome!
Just as with Law, your choice of swap is well-covered throughout the net and here in our stickies so easily available for research via searching, and is a VERY large and difficult job even for pros and generally has the well-deserved response of "just buy a TT" to those who ask about it rather than have experience with it.
It in NO way is like a swap in any other vehicle for many reasons all covered in swap youtubes and other net material, and costs more than a TT when done to then only have a TT...add far more for any mods as with any normal TT.
Good Luck!

Thanks! This is the information I have so far after a few months of searching (been wanting to do this for over a year). Just want to make sure Everything has been rounded out and there isn't too many material surprises (of course no surprises is impossible). Yeah I'm just starting to get around to actually doing this now that I got most of the chasis work done.

The main reason is I love the 2+2. Not to mention i'd rather have a 300 with a mint swap then an original engine with 200k+ miles. My friend has a 2+0 as well, but now that the valve covers have been changed it's pretty much fine. The engine on my 2+2 is leaking oil like crazy from the Rear Main Seal or Oil pan gasket, so before I devote more time to fixing this I'd rather just start working on this swap. Also I bike to school so having my car out of commission isn't a big deal.

Do I need to get a different intake manifold and balance tube? My main question is what parts (besides Oil Pan, pistons, short block) do I need that I can't pull off the VG30DE in the car.

Law school takes a lot of reading, so does building a car.

Many guys who do attempt the swap will start with a front cut, which has the myriad of small parts needed to plumb the engine and make the swap transfer as best possible. Having to source and pay bit prices for all of these little parts will drive you and your budget crazy...the engine modding although difficult and time consuming, is nothing compared to swapping in all of the TT stuff and out with the NA stuff from front to back of the car.

Wouldn't getting the full silicone hose set and intercooler and piping kit be just as good and have new parts. Already got the intercoolers so not sure what I need other than that. Also what's the difference with AC on the turbo.
