Hi, I need to change out my a/c bulbs because they burnt out. I would really like to switch them out with leds or similair type blue bulbs. My question is, I took it out and it looks like it's a oem bulb so is there no way I can get a 194 or similair bulb in there? Thanks

Real easy, don't know if it is the same for the s14 though. Remove the shift knob and plastic shifter piece. Then remove your radio as best as you can to leave room for hvac unit to come out. there are four screws that hold the unit into the console, remove them. Simply pull the unit down and on top of the unit there is one screw in the center the when removed releases a tab giving access to 2 small bulbs. To remove the bulbs just take a screwdriver and turn it counterclokwise then all you do is lift the bulb up. Weird looking bulb, if you have anyideas on changing the color please let me know. I was thinking of buying a condom type bulb cover but cant seem to find one so small. Anyone think that painting the bulb with a light acrylic paint from a hobby store would look good? Thanks

I suspect that the lamp you are needing is a Neo-wedge lamp assembly that is common for small display lighting. Does the assembly look like the attached file? If so, get me some dimensions (height and width of base in millimeters please) and I can probably help you. Is there a silicone filter on it? You can not use paint for a variety of reasons.

Can someone post a pic of their S14 A/C console at night with the interior lights on? I think my bulbs might be burned out as well, but I need to see what's suppose to be illuminated and what's not.

Hi, Yes the bulbs look very similair to the ones you listed. I went and bought some j30 bulbs but the little green condoms that go over each bulb make the display look like crap. Let me know what you come up with.

Take the filter off one of the bulbs, stand it up next to the other one with the filter on it and take a picture for me. This particular color you have looks like it would be more green than blue. Is your display blue, blue/green, white or what? If you can look at the A/C controls or radio of controls of a Chrysler or Dodge Mini-van, how does the color compare?
