Want to Buy SL Head Unit with 6 CD Changer

Will pay $200 bucks for a new SL head unit with 6 CD changer. Anybody got one for sale?

Worth it is a hard question to answer....

Pros - Exact fit, clean look (stock), 6-disk in dash, clean install (no need for adaptors or parts)

Cons - More power in aftermarket equip., Lower Cost (depending on HU), less custom look

So I would think only you can decide "Is it worth it"

First I have to ask the obvious question:

After you hit the eject button, did you hit the corresponding number of the disc you wanted to eject? On the 6-disc changer, you have to, whenever you load or eject, tell it which disc to do so.

If it is truly defective, there's not much we can do to help. If he was a vendor, we might be able to help out a bit, but this is just a single user.

Uhm, if it was replaced by the dealer, it would have worked. Under warranty, a dealer will NOT give you a defective part back, because they themselves have to send it back to Nissan.

Unfortunately, because you took it to a radio repair shop and it was (likely) disassembled, there's now even less that can be done. If you hadn't done that, there might have been a possibility that one of us might have been able to get a dealer to replace it, but now that it's been tampered with, that's completely out of the question.

OK guys... I apparently didn't make this clear enough.

Moderators can't do anything as far as mediation of transactions, unless there is a site sponsor/vendor involved.

If it's a transaction between two private individuals, they are responsible for resolving it themselves.

Steve sounds like he has a genuine problem with the head unit, and I can understand him being frustrated with no immediate response. Josh has a valid point that if he was out of town, he would have no way of responding.

Unfortunately, Steve... you've had the unit disassembled. In my opinion, you cannot realistically expect Josh to take the unit back.

This could have been handled better, by both sides...
