Greetings All,I currently own a 2004 Maxima and i'm looking to step up to an M35x. A 2006 in particular which is loaded. I mean it has every option. The car has 23,000 miles and they're asking 27,000.

Do you think I can get them any lower and from experience, could you let me know how much you guys have paid.

Also, any pointers would be appreciated. I'm looking at jumping on this within 48 hours.

Thanks In Advance.

i bought the same car you are describing 3 months age with 18500 miles for 31500. You are goign to hear a lot of guys on here say to get it checked out by the senior tech at the infiniti dealer for a few hundred. Also spring for the super mega warranty. search the forums here for where you can get one from a sponsor. other than that... enjoy this fantastic car.

I got a 2007 M35 Sport with adv. tech pkg, aero kit and wood trim for $28500. It has 24K miles on it. In this economy, these cars are not selling easily.

Interesting, I think I just looked at the same car earlier today. The stock # is 9590 of the one I saw. Looks to be a good deal as there was also a 2007 with much more miles going for more money. As long as the factory warranty isn't cancelled (accidents, flood, theft) it should provide years of comfy motoring without headaches, and at less cost than the 2009 Maxima.

Thank you all.

From what you guys are saying, it sounds like 27,000 isn't a bad price but I think I could get them to go a bit lower. I'm concerned that they're going to try and get me on my trade.

Spoolin : Where was the one you looked at and did they quote you a price on it?

Trading, like financing, is a losing proposition for a buyer.

Be sure to buy only the Nissan backed extended warranty. They won't go out of business like so many other third party warrantors have.

Spoolin : thanks for that. I looked at a car in Manhasset actually but the pricing is identical. I want to try and push for about 1000 lower. Then talk about my trade.

I'm really amped about getting this vehicle. I'm going there tomorrow after work to drive the car and give him a small deposit.

That price isn't too bad, but probably could do a bit better. The average price for a 2006 M35's is about 22k at manheim auctions. If yours has more options then probably a bit more. The mileage is right too.

I just purchased a 2007 M35x with 22,127 miles with the Tech Package for $29,500. It was purchased at auction for $24,750 plus $300.00 auction fee, shipping and new tires and dealer margin. I went for the 07 because of the limited passenger seat adjustments (no tilt) on the 2006 models. Enjoy!

Mac : thanks for the post.

So out the door you paid a little over 29,000?

I'm going to offer 24,500 and see how much higher he goes. I doubt they paid more than 23 for the car if that.

I'll keep you guys updated as I make my decision.

Ok just spoke to the pre-owned manager.

For my '04 Maxima with 43000 miles he is offering 13,000 and for the '06 Loaded M35 with 24,000 miles he is asking 27,200.

Thoughts?

Trading in you are likely to get killed anyway, but I would push for them to get $4,000 closer. So, $25,000 for the M35x and $15,000 for your Maxima. Or, $23k for the M and $13K for the Maxima. Remember, at auction the only things that matter are year, miles and condition of the car. A fully loaded car will sell for nearly the same as a base model in the same clean condition.

I had them down to 26,715, then I pushed a bit more and they gave me 25,793 however that number was based on their financing @ 8.34%. WOW I say to myself. Then I call a local bank and get financing at 5.9% and call backa nd say I'll take it at 25,793 and man did the business guy get upset when I told him I didn't want his financing. He won't even take my calls now.

I'm going to talk to the sales manager tomorrow and see if he'll meet me 1/2 way between the two numbers. I've looked high and low and I can't find a car equipped like this anywhere.

New to this forum so here is what I can contribute. I am coming off a lease of a 2006 M45 Sport fully loaded and was paying 760 a month on a 39 month lease.... At the time the deal was not bad had to wait for 3 months to get the car and have 55,000 trouble free miles. My only complaint is bad in the snow but RWD was to be expected. Went to re lease a new M45X and came across a great deal on a NEW 2007 (not a typeo) 2007 M45 sport with tech package (not advanced tech) and the sticker was 55,000. just gave a depost and picking up the car NEW for 35998! 19,000 off sticker and the car has full new bumper to bumper waranty plus they added 10 year 100k powertrain exted waranty. The deal was too good to pass up. I can't see how I can get hurt with this purchase. I love the way it drives and losing the advanced tech package was no big deal. Anyone interested they have 4 more almost exact on the lot still!!! Long Island Ny dealer.

Just to add my two cents. Three months ago (when premium gas was $4.20/gal compare to $2.69 now), I bought a great 2006 M45 sport (28k mi) with every package/option except heated/reclining rear seats. Certified Pre-Owned at the Infiniti dealer. Sticker I think was $39k. I paid $34k, and they tinted the windows and resurfaced the wheels (one had a small scratch, and I had somehow scratched the others in the first week or two i owned it). I was happy with that price, and I didn't really think I was going to get much more out of them.

Might have been a different story now, what with nobody buying anything anymore. The thing that made the deal worth it for me was that I qualified for T1 0.9% financing.

I kind of wish I had sprung for the $1400 super warranty, but everything is running great so far. I have factory warranty until 4/2010, and the CPO warranty will take me to 6 years/100k mi. So yeah. You should be able to get the car a little cheaper now, but I am still happy with my purchase.
