After witnessing Cameons situation on the boards, and witnessing the ADT situation as first hand as it gets all I can say is people dont send deposits on the first set of engines a supplier is recieving. If the bank doesnt trust them enough to give them a loan to pay for the engines why should you? Deposits should be reserved for suppliers who are of good reputation and have a track record for fulfilling orders in a timely fashion. It can take 2-3 months to recieve a shipment of engines from Japan and other eastern countries so if your deposit is being used to pay for the engines you will be waiting quite awhile for your product. And if you are being ask to put a deposit down on a first shipment of engines for a supplier your deposit most likely is going towads the purchase. Dont let me deter you from ordering an engine from the New Shop down the street, or the friendly guy who has been helping everyone out and decided to open a shop to help more people. Just wait till they have product before you pay for it. For someone determined to start a shop and do things right there are many ways to find capital moneys for a first order of engines to be sold without taking deposits. Last but not least, your grandmother was right if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
