Want to add sub to Z roadster

Does anyone have the specs for the space behind driver seat thats made for the suboofer? I'm debating having an enclosure made Vs trying to save some dough with just buying a "free air" subwoofer and mounting in the spot the bose would be . Any recommendations on brand of subs? Has anyone tryed to seal that area to make the space the actual enclosure? Thanx for any suggestions anyone may have!
