Hello all, I will be returning to the states in 3 months and I want to trade my car for a G35. From what I have read, it would offer the best of what I am looking for in the price I want to spend. The problem is that I live in Fayetteville, NC and the closest dealer is 65 miles away in Raleigh. I would hate to have to keep driving that distance for services or if I have problems with the car. Does anyone in here have that issue of the dealer being so far away, and if so, how do you deal with it. My other alternative is to by the Acura TL typeS because the dealer is only 7 miles away. Any input would be appreciated.ThanksAudley

Both are excellent cars, and I would add the Lexus IS350 to the equation. For me, the nearest dealer is 35 miles away, but I've only had to go in once. The dealer will not allow you to have the car serviced anywhere else except there, so you're in a bind. There is something to be said for practical and user-friendly, especially when a drive to the the dealer (150miles round trip) can be an all day affair with this distance and the price of gas increasing exponentially it seems. I love my car (not like Jacko3 and some of the others who write love poetry to theirs and seem to fawn and want to have sex with it ) but would just as easily if not more so, go for the IS350 or TL.

DO you have a NISSAN dealer near by? They probably can't do warranty work, but should be able to service your G. Give them a call.

Forgot to mention, that NISSAN will be CHEAPER than Infiniti on servicing your G.

Welcome to Nico,

SVT is right if you have a Nissan dealer you maybe able to take your car there. However there could be some trouble in your way. Some parts are specific to Infiniti. You should ask your Nissan and Infiniti dealer about this before you pull the trigger. I would never buy a car if the dealer is not in the town. But that is just me.

Let us know if you asked the dealers. Could be a good info for others too.

Can they work on the recalls also? I don't know we don't have much recalls but would be sucks to drive far for a 10 minutes fix. I assume they can but not sure.

Have you considered moving? New Jersey has a gazillion Infiniti dealers and cheaper gas. Fewer Fords and Mustangs too.

Yes most do.

I have the dealer together Infiniti/Nissan. They charge for Infiniti owners as they charge for Nissan owner. I believe SVT pays Nissan labor fee since he is taking it to the Nissan. Also they give him some % off or matching the price. Like they did it for him for the tires.

Am I right Rich?

I am a spoke person of him.

Mince,

I had exactly the same question you had, 2 weeks ago...

Infiniti G35, G37, or Acura TL Type S.. Well, after 2 weeks of reading, test driving, and more reading, I have decided on the G37 coupe..I currently drive a Honda Accord Ex 4door.. and basically, if I was going to stay with the 4door acura, or 4door infinity G35, it wasnt going to feel like a big enough "change" for me... but once you drive that 2 door G37, you will probably like I did, come to a quick conclusion that it's the right car for you...

As soon as my honda sells, I will be purchasing, then posting picts of me and my new ride

good luck !! Take that test drive.. you will see !Druggist

You know me well!!

My Nissan dealer will beat the prices at Discount Tire or just about anybody else I quote and they are closer to me. We've bought several cars from them over the years and sent family & friends there too. Ask if they have coupon books. Who was it that was saying Infiniti wanted well over $200 to do the transmission flush, and my Nissan did my daughter's Max for $130 ??

Hey druggist, I would prefer the sedan Cause I have a family and and it is easier to get the little ones in a car with 4 doors. How far away is your dealer? Unfortunately, I am deployed right now so I cant call the nissan dealer to find out if they would service a G35 as most of the other guys have suggested. I will do that when I return in 3 months. I would love to see your pics. Are you gonna get an 08 or 09 model?
