How many of you would be interested in a log-style top mount exhaust manifold w/ t3 flanges for the ca?

I know log-style isn't the optimal choice when buying a manifold, but the price will be right and the chances of cracking are less.

The cost will be $430 and the initial turn around time will be a couple months.

What do you think? Input please!

Man, I really thought you guys would be all over this...I mean, there is so much crying about how hard it is to find a manifold or how expensive it is to have one made. What's the deal? I don't understand.

Yeah, I kinda figured it was because it wasn't tubular.

I also figured that since most people on the CA forum complain about lacking in funds they'd appreciate a low-buck effective manifold...especially considering the fact that tubulars can run upwards of $1000. I'm sure you know, there are plenty of high hp cars running logs. 'Beggars can't be choosers'...that's the phrase I'm looking for here.

Like I said before, I know it's not the optimal design, but for a little money it can open people up to a whole new variety of turbos.

im making my own tubular top mount. cost me about 75 bucks so far. if it comes out good im gonna make a few to sell.

i still have to get a price from jet hot or one of the coating companies before i have a price.

u can get jgs log style for like 300, all you would have to do is sum one with CAD to make a copy of the gaskets and send it to them

i got flanges. i know i told someone id get them one, but im still tring to work out a price. ill take a pic of the one i actuall have in my hand. im doing raw(non stailess)steel and gonna jet coat it, or some comparible coating. just dont hold your breath, cause my life is a mess right now and unfortunately cars are not my top priority at the moment.

More like $379 for a pre-existing manifold that actually sells.

Ahh forget it, but I'm gonna laugh at each person that *****es about how hard it is to find manifolds.:rolleyes

id consider the log style if i had money to play around with. currently i have no means of buying anything so dont feel bad when i say i dont really want to buy one.

im a cheap piece of crap so im probably just gonna get a gt series ball bearing turbo off ebay and use the existing manifold with some new oil and coolant lines.

good luck though, im sure even though most of us dislike the idea of the log style manifolds people will give in if they come across some money and cant afford a new turbo and a tubular style manifold. remember, money talks. (for me it actually screams)

Logs aren't that bad. It's definately not the best way to go, but when money's tight it's usually the cheapest.

I was going to get them done through jgy customs, but as I said, they need 7 people. Maybe there will be a time. For now, oh well.:peace

the only reason im building a top mount is because there are steering box/turbo clearence issues in the 510, making the stock manifold useless. i got someone looking at my v8 swapped custom ford ranger pickup, so if he buys it my 510 should be rolling out soon. woohoo!!!

I agree! It is a very nice 510 with the CA looking at home and snuggled.

As you already know, I've completely built a CA18DET to the hilt and I still need to finish that car. I need to focus on suspension and that's gonna cost me a pretty penny. As much as I'd like to, I have to decline financial backing, however I will be your cheerleader and offer tech support. And float is right, I'm more into the SDS systems.
