I have already posted and it's proven that, I dont have Freaking A/C in my limited edition of vert. (SE)I would like to have an A/C in my car though... It's too hot out and stuff.

I know a lotta you guys have A/C out for weight and for speed.but, I am not going planning on doing any engine work anytime soon, maybe when i have time.. maybe after graduating college? I dont even get to drive my car, it sits in the garage.

How much of hassle is it to put A/C in? Where do I get them? (junkyard)?

just would like to know anything that has to do with putting A/C into non A/C car.

thanks fellas.

it would be a whole lot of work... does yours even have the bulkhead fittings that the underhood lines connect to at the firewall? If yours doesn't even have the AC on button than you are looking at installing the compressor, bracket, belt, condensor, evaporator, probably have to replace the whole under dash unit since yours may not have the equipment, and then all the underhood lines. and the wiring harness, I'd guess the wires are there in the harness but it may be like power mirrors in the verts and there is no wiring harness...I dunno man you are talking about a whole lot of work............and in a convertible....

I would imagine the worst part to be the wiring. Just hope the harness still has all the wires you need. Everything else isn't much of a big deal. The hard lines will be annoying to get in but not impossible.

I'd get almost all of it from a junk yard:-compressor-compressor mounting bracket-condensor-evaporator w/ evaporator enclosure-climate control controls w/ a/c button-all refrigerant lines-dual pressure switch-condensor fan-condensor fan temp switch /w wires-relay

From a parts store:-drier-expansion valve

Obviously you'll find a few more little things here and there that you need, but that should pretty well cover the major stuff.

I stripped most of that **** out of my car a while ago and I tried to give it away but no takers. I'm sure other people could help you out a lot of s13 owners ditch the AC esp with swaps, just check the forums find someone stripping their car!

I have AC, but it doesn't work. I don't really miss it at all.

I live in PA, too... It's not that bad not having AC.

That is odd that yours didn't come with it, though!

pfft

I took the liberty of fixing that for you.

I'm in GA so I have A/C in my RB swap. I normally drive with the top down too, but when you are sitting still for a while, it sure is a nice option to have!
