I'm new to this forums but i was wondering what you guys think of this 240sx im looking at on craigslist. I have had some experience working on cars and i think i could do the research to do some work myself along with my friend's dad being a auto mechanic to help when i cant do something.

It's 2,000 OBO The description says it has a ka24e swap with a fresh oem rebuild, new clutch, braided clutch line, slammed on emusa coilovers, comes with 3 extra fenders, 2 front bumps, extra radiator, power window doors ,gauges, oem rear suspension arm set, front hubds, LCAs and knuckles, and assorted spare motor parts like brackets, pulleys, reservoirs, etc.

It currently doesn't run but He says that it needs the wiring done and it should... and he says that he is getting complaints from the village about it and has to sell it.

$2000 USD for a non-running car that's bashed up? Even with the spare parts, it sounds like too much.

I agree. Even with all of the stuff 2k is a lot. I'd lowball and hope for a bite.

I'd say keep on searching. You can get a RUNNING s13 for that same price with less the hassle. Try looking for an unmodified one, trust me. You don't want to be stuck on the side of the road wondering what the heck the previous owner did to the car lol

I'd would offer $800 cash and explain that non-running projects are not worth money unless the shell is impossible to find, which S13's are pretty easy to come by. Also a "swapped" KA24e might elude to previous treatment. eSpecially with an extra rad, I'd imagine, it started over heating and this guy threw a bunch of random stuff at it, and still never fixed the problem, got frustrated and now wants to get out with a little less than was put in.

But being that it is so stripped down. If you do pick it up, start with body work and build it up from there. It'll probably be a year before you actual drive it, but You will learn a ton in that year and have a nicer 240 than most if you don't shortcut.
