What it do NICO members? I am fairly new to this, but since i couldnt have done it without NICO i gotta post some pics, someone wanted a write up to so heres my attempt......

This is her, bone stock except for the K&N filter and B&M short shifter......

Then i recieved some of these. Stance GR + pro from Mach III in Frisco, CA

I the took them apart to install the supplied 9/7 springs and I put some of this on the thread because I like copper, and it looks hot!

this is what they look like after you rub it on...

After they were all prepared I lifted my car up to install them, they are pretty straight forward, Im sure theres tons of threads on how to install them. I also think you can see the small difference my light shading did to the parking lamps.........

This is how i shaded my parking lamps. I first took them off by loosing up two screws......

Then I had to disconnect the harness....

I then heated the edge where the lens is attached to the housing and just slightly warmed it up, not too much cause you'll discolor the plastic.

Once it was warm enough, i just carefully pulled the lens off the housing, I wiped the inside of the housing with some alcohol, and sprayed the inside black, the first one I did, i taped off the groove where the glue is, but you should just paint the whole thing, otherwise your edge will look lighter than the rest off the lens, the second one i did came out way better!!

While I had the lens off I decided to polish them up a little, now I know these are all chipped, but i was just testing this on these, I'll shade some new ones later.

I first pulled out my dads weak *** buffer, and rubbed some of this on the terry cloth path the buffer already had.

You can get that at your Kragen or whatever parts store you go to (They all SUCK!!!) Anyways I just left the buffer on the floor holding the switch and handle with one hand, and held the lens with the other and just rubbed til I was happy...haha

After your flat black paint dries, you can warm the glue in the housing again and attach the lens back in place, make sure you push it in all the way until the clips click in. Attach the harness, screw them in and Voila, shaded parking lamps for free! (I had everything already)

I also recieved my lip and skirts so they went on too, temp. only.

my Stances are great! they can go way lower too. This was how it looked lower, and it can still get lower too......

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I did wash my car and rubbed some claybar on it too.......

So now im totally happy with my front end, next I want to get some rims and suspension stuff. I was gonna get an SR cause my KA has a bad rod bearing, but now that I saw my car like this I wanna save that money, get a new KA and do other things to it. SR could wait, feel me?

SPL has a great rep on this board, but I personally have never used their products. Ive heard their RUCAs are rebadged Cusco's.

Your car looks great on those Stances! And I gotta add: I'm digging your house/neighborhood in the background. Ive only been to SF once as a kid, but that area seems so familiar.

Anyone else chuckle when they read "bone stock except for ...."

This is not intended to flame at all, I just find it humorous

Dang, you got that thing dropped! Be careful with lowering your car in SF, I could tell you some stories.

Where did you get that lip? Is it functional? I've been looking for a functional splitter myself.

+1 on the corona and pipe.

Have you played with the dampning on the 9/7's yet? Like you, I put the stiffer springs on my stance right out of the box. I set the fronts to 15 and the rear to 8. The front seems a bit bouncy but handles spectacular. I would suggest getting Rear upper controll arms and rear toe arms asap. Your tires will love you. My first reccomendation would be battle versions (a lil biast perhaps) but you couldnt go wrong with cusco or spl.

Don't think twice. Get SPL RUCAs. I have Stance GR+ Pro and SPL RUCAs.

haha, nuthin like a little bomb and beer to get my creative juices flowing... No i havent played with the dampening yet, or even drived it to long. My KA has a bad rod bearing so it sounds like $hit. I will definetly get my rear suspension components first, i hate that negative camber look. I read a thread somewhere where they posted thier comments on different damper settings and it was really good, i havent had time to find it again though, i think its on ziptied.net or something. damn, my car needs something in the back huh, maybe that pdm rear bumper cover and a CF wangan tail from raceonusa.com will do.

SPL makes awesome stuff, you should get your tie and tension rods and everything else there too

i think he copied the design of the cusco's because he felt they were the best and couldnt be improved...

Quick question for you guys. I saw ceefromdasco used heat gun to take off the lens. Will tail light lenses come out like that too?

No offense, but why do people insist on buying coilovers and than adjusting their suspension wayyyyyyy to low? This completely changes your suspension geometry and results in a car that actually handles worse!

If your going to get coilovers spend the time to get them adjusted properly......

Oh and get some adjustable RUCAs while your at it.

Your car is pretty low but looks very clean. I like the lip a lot. But damn...are you gonna be driving around the city often because you have to be VERY alert of the damn potholes here. It's good to see local 240's on here!

I think your car looks pretty good, and I like where your mind's at about suspension first, horsepower later. I'd raise the height a tad, to where you don't leave that lip on a speed bump somewhere. LSD next? That would compliment your new handling nicely. Also, a good pillow ball tie rod end and new tensioning rod will handle the car's new ride height better.

P.S: it might not be safe working on your car while under the influence of cool ranch doritos?

Nice start with stances.

I'll be on the lookout for your car... I'll blink my lights when I see you around SF or something.

Can I have your stock suspension?

Well thanks for the comments guys, its hard to find a group of guys that know what they talking about, well I dont know how available the sticks are, i bought a set at the commercial counter @ Kragen, it retails for like $50, but I used to work there so guess how much it cost me, haha.

And Tulsa, dont get so worked up about low cars, how do you know that my car handles worst? people buy coilovers for different reasons, wether it be to slam thier cars or to "improve handling" thats their desicion. And I got a question for you, why are there so many people that think they are suspension geometry engineers, or these know it all racers, that think every mod should be for race purpose only. I mean I know alot of $hit about cars, and I dont go around asking how much horsepower does that sticker give your car? I bought my coilovers for one reason, adjustability. When im driving around town to and from work, I wanna look cool.( Not that my car is cool yet) and if I ever decide to go autox and can easily change it up.
