Wanna put neons under my altima. Help me out...

Ok So i used to have green neons under my red altima and the way i did the wiring was first i connected all the wires together and then to get the switch on/off button inside i got the wires inside from the driver side door place.those wires were visible and u could see them everytime u open the door and they were also getting in ur way when u press the brake or accelarate so i took my neons off..

Now yesterday i put all 4 lights back and i didn't connect them yet because i dont want the wires to be visible. is there any way i can connect the wires to the fuse box or something or just get them inside from where the brake and accelarater is? so they wont have to come from the side of the car where the door is connected with the car??

and also is connecting directly with the battery the only way to make them work??

i have to say i love neons and underbody lights. but everyone tells me they're tacky but i like them nonetheless. if you want to wire them up without seeing them as you open the door, run the wires into the engine bay and then wire them through the firewall into the front and you can install a switch into an empty slot where the VDC and TCS are (if you have them).

look in the DIY section to see how people wire the audi led strip wires through the firewall and do the same process.

and no, you don't have to hook them up directly to the battery for them to work, you can tap into an alternate power source, by either splicing the wires or using wire taps.

when i have some extra money lying around im gonna get a blue set and wire them into the dome light with a relay so that when i unlocik the car they come on and then i still have a switch. but it would bug me when they are while driving because the dome light would be on
