My ca'ed s13 is about done and im looking to quickly replace the joke stock side mount. Looking around for something pretty/really cheap and found someone that posted this site.

anyone have comments or warnings. Or anyone know of a better place, or have one they wanna sell cheap. I'm only going to 10psi, but i hear the side mount isnt cut out for much more than stock.

I can tell you right off the bat that is the same intercooler as the one that SSAC sold. It is probably the same mass produced intercooler from China that most ebay companies buy. Nothing against China, its just where it comes from. -Gabe

It's most likely better than the stock side mount. I would double check that your not going to need anymore piping. I bought an Ebay kit and I needed a lot more piping.

Things to check on inter coolers are the pressure drop and the efficiency. If the efficiency makes up for the pressure drop then it's okay to lose some pressure. For example, a 1-3 PSI drop would be fine if the efficiency was like 65-80%.

Also check the mountings and check how much piping to have to run and how many bends you have to make. If your piping makes a lot of bends it will effect your air flow drastically.

Also on some inter coolers you have to remove the 5mph metal bumper to get it to fit.

Sorry I don't know any specifics about this inter cooler but these things may help you make a good choice.

10psi? No need for a FMIC unless you want bling +1. I ran 10psi all the first summer I had my motor with nothing more than a homemade intercooler sprayer made from hose and nozzles I picked up in the lawn care section of Lowe's.

if you can find a saab 9000 turbo from the 2.0 you can use that intercooler. you can probably find them cheap in a junkyard. that is what the guys in england do. the piping will be really short too as the in and out are up top. hope this helps in your quest for a fmic. the ones from the volvo 7** work too. just have to come up with the piping to hook it all up.
