Hey guys,

as the title states id wanna build a KA-T but id like to know your opinions on parts (pistons, crank, valves, etc.) Id like to achieve around 300rwhp if thats possible on a stock block. Ive been hearing that KA24DE blocks are hard to get 300hp with but you guys are the pro's so i wanna know your opinion.

I was thinking 9:1 compression pistons. Whats a good brand?

crankshaft brand?valves/cams brand?

Wanna do a complete re-build with hard internals.

Cams, Valves, Injectors, Port the cylinders?, Pistons/Rods, Crank/Bearings, Underdrive, Timing anything else?....whole 9 yards.

Your opinions are MUCH appreciated. Im not an idiot just a noob =P

300hp is an easy mark on stock internals. Read the stickies up top and you'll find all th info you need. Welcome If do build go low compression pistons.

Theres a few guys who have run 500+ hp on the stock block. Its all about the tune man. The tune and meth injection..

For 300 hp though your fine with the stock block, just get a good tune and you'll be set.

just get a T3 and tune it like they said, 300 hp is a very acheivable # even for a descently cheap build.

Actually funny part is, a decent setup on a KA with a T3/T4 turbo and about 8 psi. Thats about the Average HP everyone achieves.

You'll be in the 220-250hp range. No more though, a t25 runs out of steam by then.
