Got the ol turd running again..

the old setup was a t3/t4 50 trim.. never had a boost creep issue..

new setup... same full race manifold.. all i changed was the turbo to a gt35r. its a .63 exhuast.. with a .60 cover.

the wastegate that WAS on the car was a tial 38mm with a 1 bar spring. it woudl hold 1 bar till about 7krpm, then it woudl jump to over 22psi!!!!!!!!

we thought the wastegate was too small for the turbo, so i upgraded to a tial 44mm gate.. used the same spring.

for the vac sourcce, i had a line from the nipple on the turbo, to the gate itself.. i tried 5 different vac lines.. so i know the lines were ok.. cause it STILL DOES IT even with the 44mm gate.

so i capped the turbo line off, and ran it right from the wastegate..

same thing. also does it with my dsbc boost controller in teh loop too...

EVERYONE that has looked at this is VERY stumped..

ideas?

well with the boostcontroller out of the loop i would say wastegate.you said your using the same spring as in the other wastegate.possibly try a new spring.

also why in hte hell are ya reving to over 7k?

btw what motor are you using, any head work to accommodate the 7krpm+ pulls?

i would say possible manifold turbulence but its a full race and they obviously know what they are doing
