Because the car is relatively new, the combined costs of the transmission plus having it installed might make it more cost effective to sell the auto trans car and buy one with the 6-speed.

I haven't heard of anyone doing this yet.
The 6 speed is the same as the 5.5 gen ('02 and '03) as well, so that may widen your chances of finding a decent-priced used one to swap in.

That may change things a bit....new paint is not a plus for the value of a used car of that age, so that might make it more reasonable to consider the swap.philly wrote:the auto is payed off and it has new paint on it
