Anybody heard of these? The guy at the tire shop said they are owned by yokohama and the model i was loking at s-1099 looks exactly the same as the yokohama avs sport. I was quoted $202 installed so they are alot cheaper that the yoko's. Just checking to see if they are any good. Is it even legal to exactly copy a tread design if its not owned by the same company?

I just got them on my WRX. They look EXACTLY like the Yoko AVS tires. My last tires were Michelin Pilots, and the Wanli's don't hold a candle to them, but are excellent tires for the price. They feel better than some Falkens and Kuhmos I have been on in other people's cars.

The grip is okay in the rain, but they do hydroplane easier than the Pilots.

What are the load and speed ratings? Also, please give the traction, temperature, and treadwear ratings if you could.

I deal with tires every day, never heard of them. I wasnt even aware yokohama made a private label tire..... I enver trust tires I cant find information on, as a rule of thumb....I can check into it if you like, sometime this weekend...I canc all yokohama dealer services and ask the reps there what those are, if they make them, etc...
