Ok, SR20DET blacktop in a 93 hatch. It has a walbro 255 intank fuel pump and I keep blowing fuses. It even got to the point where I was blowing 30amp fuses like nothing. And when I turn the boost up it blows in even less time. I've done my searching, so dont start on me just yet, lol. I found 3 possible reasons:

1: Bad Ground. I replaced the ground the other day and keeps popping fuses.

2: Short in the harness. Haven't done a thorough inspection but I drove the car for 350 miles straight on a bumpy highway when I bought it and it never cut off which is kinda wierd if there is an exposed wire.

3: The fuel pump internals gave out. This is what I and a few of my friends believe. I ordered a new one and should be here by the end of the week.

I wanted to get some more opinions just in case. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are looking in all the right places. I recently had problems with my tail lights blowing 30amp fuses. That one was a bit easier to figure out since there really are no internal mechnaisms but it turned out to be corosion in the wiring connections. I cleaned them out and its been solid ever since. When you go to install the new pump may I suggest checking the connection between the fuse box and the pump wires for resistance a simple ohm meter will do the trick. I'm not an expert but if you take a little time to learn a bit of science and how auto electricity works, you can save yourself lots of time. This 17yo car has me beat up enough by this kind of thing for me to give in to some schoolin

*Status Update*

Got the new walbro today and installed it. Ran good for a while, as usual. Just when I thought it might be fixed, I blew another 30amp. So....One of my friends has mentioned to me that I should bypass the stock fuel pump wiring to the fuse box and re-run it with a thicker gauged wire. He says the stock "thin" wire isn't handling the power from the walbro...something along those lines. Anyone have a second opinion or believe that this may work. My friend said he had to do it when he upgraded his '88 Mazda 323 GT Turbo and my other friends Integra. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any info on my current situation. Thanks.
