As the title says... I have just recieved my walbro pump from a fellow NICO member and I was wondering what all I need to hook it up, as it did not come with any wires or plugs. Its just the pump its self, can I reuse the stock sock on the walbro? any help would be great . thanks - Jake

p.s. Its an s13 if it matters.

it's supposed to have a plug with it (2 wires 1black and 1red.) you'll have to cut and splice the two wires going to your current fuel pump that screw into it. splice black to black and red to the orangish one. It should also have a rubber insulator that goes on the bottom and a strainer bag (sock). I think you can pick one up at a local parts store and they're not too expensive but you really should replace it... I'm not sure if you can re-use that rubber grommet that goes on the bottom of the fuel pump.

It really helped me to soak all the bolts on the fuel tank cover with PB blaster for a while. they were a bit rusty on my car and I was concerned but they came right out w/ the PB blaster.

What about the little plastic tube that's zip-tied to the factory pump? There doesn't seem to be a way to make it fit on the Walbro pump. Can it be left off or should I go to Autozone and find something that will fit?

you don't need it just the wires, strainer bag, and rubber grommet/insulator.
