Hey guys, I know its been asked before but none of you guys seemed to answer the poor fellow but now I need to ask. Will a Walbro GSS341 255lph high pressure fuel pump be bad at all for a stock vehical?

My car wouldn't start so I slapped together a walbro fuel pump that I pulled out of my *** (by the way, I can sell these to you guys for $90.00 shipped at anytime, just email me at [email protected]) and I put it in a 1990 240sx hatchback which I just bought about a week ago since my other engine blew and I needed a car to get around for a couple weeks until my sr20's arrived in Toronto (anyone need an sr20det by the way?) Ok, so the car started and I drove it into the driveway. Just wonerding if anyone has experience with these pumps on the KA or if dauntless whom doesn't need experience and automatically knows, can chip in his 2 cents

Merci

I havent put one on a stock ka but i have on other stock cars. The fuel pump wont damage anything. The injectors and fuel pressure regulator is what controls the fuel going into the engine, the fuel pump just pumps fuel into the line.

That is not true.I put a walbro hi-flow pump in my stock KA and it repeatedly blewout my #4 injector. The stock fuel regulator is not sufficient.

you have a bad fuel pressure regulator if that is the case. The fuel pump itself will not cause this.

I run a walbro 255 in tank, and a NOS 255 in line booster pump with no fuel filter and have no problems on the V8. On my KA I ran just the walbro for a while wih nothing else amd had mo problems. about 10k miles that way.

Then i take it back, You know more than I. let me change what i said to this, If you are going to put in a walbro pump on a car with miles 100k or higher. consider doing a new FPR, it will be cheaper than new injectors.

it's alright, I didn't mean any offence.

But I definately would do as you have said and spend the money for a new FPR if not an adjustable for later on.

None taken. Maybe my "you knwo more than I" came off as sarcasm, but i definatly ment it. That is the problem with the internet.. no inflection.
