What HP gains if any do you get from running a Walbro Fuel Pump? or is it just for using better injectors/turbo setup... i'm planing on going turbo in the next few months would I gain any HP from adding it now or should I just hold off till I go KA-T ? Thanks

thats like wondering if adding bigger injectors would increase your horsepower, not exactly the same, but close.

incase you dont get that, no, no horsepower. the fuel pressure regulator regulates the fuel pressure (who da thunk it?) so it wont hurt performance, but you couldnt possibly gain any power from running rich if thats what you are wondering

I did not think I would... but then again.. people were saying that by using a 300zx? fuel filter you would have better throttle responce due to better flow... See where i'm comming from?

That's one of those things the newbs pick up on and misread...we all run 300XZ filters b/c they're bigger (filter better???) and cheaper by $2...there is no performance gain.

But the newbs see it as a "mod", and spread the word to their newbish friends.

Good question about the fuel pump...but as it has already been said...you only need a bigger pump if you're making more HP than the stock one can handle.

No I don't see the filter as a "Mod" with all the crap that's said on these forums it's sometimes hard to tell who the knows what they are doing and who is just full of ****... i'll hold off on getting the pump till I go Turbo.. that's all you had to say..

Like if someone is going turbo and a month before their fuel pump dies type of deal?

I Got a Walbro 255 with a total stock KA! Its cheaper then any fuel pump I have found but it will somewhat make your car run alittle richer then before!

Whoa...hey man, I wasn't taking a jab at you...I was just making an observation.

Sorry for the way it came across, it wasn't intended to be rude towards you...

No, your fuel pressure will rise with a 255LPH. More flow, with the same sized hole in the regulator = more pressure. You need to get an AFPR to bring it back to stock or your injectors will start going bad, even though your ECU can compensate for the higher pressure so you won't run really rich.
