Alrite I was installing my fuel pump and I accidently messed up twice. For one, when I was crimping the butt connectors I put the 14 gauge wire onto the 16 gauge side and vice versa. Does this matter? Second, I would like to know if I really need this rubber piece shown in the picture because when I crimped it I accidentally left it out.

I don't know what you mean about 14 ga and 16 ga, there are only 2 wires, pos and neg. Get them right and your good.

I left the rubber boots off. They didn't fit anyways, so no point.

If I were you I'd solder those bad boys. I used the 2 butt connectors that came with the walbro pump, and a few weeks ago my car completely died on me, the fuel pump wasn't priming. It's only been 6 months since I installed it.

Turns out one of the butt connectors came loose, I had to pull the hole assembly out and soldered the hell out of them. It's a pain in the *** job, so you're going to want to do it right the first time!

Hmm alrite because I don't know where I heard it from but someone said NOT to solder them. But I think I'll do that instead, thanks.
