So I keep trying to start my car, cranks and fires a few times then dies. Tried pumping the throttle and pushing it to the floor, no luck. Ran diagnostics test and no codes thrown except 55 for "all clear". I have a Walbro 255lph pump, stock turbo, SSAC exhaust manifold, intercooler, and recirculated HKS SSQV blow-off-valve. I pulled out my plugs and they reeked of gassy smell, and were almost dripping. I fouled 3 sets of plugs in the course of about 20 minutes, doing the crank fire die thing. My question is, could my fuel pump be putting to much stress on the injectors and pressure regulator and prehaps is making it run too rich and fouling the plugs. Specifically when I start the car up because of the fuel pump re-priming itself every single time I start it? I'm not throwing any codes and I tried adjusting timing so I figure this is the only thing that could be wrong. Should I go buy another stock pump, (cause I sold mine), or could I use a sentra pump (i have one of them), or should I buy an adjustable regulator? Help would be really appreciated, thanks.

Could be the regulator, but have you checked your ignition system? Check the spark at the plug. Might have a dying ingition module.

No, the pump is not the problem. The extra "stress" is going back to the tank through FPR and return line.Adjustable FPR wont help you, the stock FPR hold the correct base pressure.

I had a CA with the same problem one time. The coil harness was damaged, a lot of oxide in the connector. Had a very weak spark when I tested.

How'd you fix it? New coil packs, did you just clean the ignitor, or buy a new one?

That car had a bad connector, that was all. I just replaced the connector with a universal one.It was the big connector between coil packs and harness. Like 10 pins or so.

Maybe not that problem in your case but check the spark and the ignition parts.

i haven't had that problem either. I'd say start checking plugs for corrsion, especially if you degrease it heaps, or use a cleaner of some sort.
